End of Week 2

Summary

Finally home, fed, on the couch ready to watch weekley message and a bit of TV!
Great week, lots on as usual, lots and lots of work but managed to keep eating on track, get all the exercise done. Overall pretty happy with this week, lost 1.4 kg so i was stoked with that too... cant believe this is working!! and that im loving it!!


Exercise

Today we smashed out another 10km, ran along the Merri Creek Trail today, we got our friend Sarah to her first 10km today she was pumped ( exhausted) but pumped, we were running along a long straight and it was like it would never end... it was at about 7.3km Sarah said "sooz im going to stop at 8km"... me and my big mouth ( well I knew she could do it) said "no no you can do it Sar you are so close" so on she went... what a trooper... we slowed on the 8th km and got of that damn long boring road and ran around block upon block and i screamed her home to her first 10km!! I also gave her poor shins a rub down for her.. hahah
Also our Nickers ( Nicolle) made it to 10km,,,, actually I think it was 11km! what a legend.

Emms thinks my sweat was sexy today.... ???? i thought i looked like a beached whale but this was it.....



Food 

How good is the food??? Im loving all of it... oh except the bircher muesli that was on this morning.. Sorry that was not cool.... lol... so i had one piece of toast and a yoghurt instead... at least i tried it!!! thats a good step for me... trying things im not sure about.
Ok so highlights in food this week... Laksa and the Penang Chicken.. holy crap they were awesome, Brad was even super impressed by them... and hes a hard one to please....  so glad those 2 will be making it into the permanent recipe book... yummo!!
Even though work was full on this week i was prepared so eating stayed on track at work! oh and i didnt eat any crap at the football last week while everyone around me was eating pies, hot dogs and chips!! oh god it was hard but I was almost not interested??? i did say almost... hope that changes for good though... will be so good not to WANT that kinda food at all!

Worries:

Had a party friday night which i drank some booze but made sure i burnt all of it off in the SSS! Which i also need to assess as I think we need to go to next level... Dont want to say it was easy but def need more of a challenge to empty the tank on a saturday.

My biggest threat this week... HOLIDAYS!!! God I am so scared Im going to stuff this up, I have exercises printed, stuff to take for fitness test, i plan to exercise at least every second day, and amp up the walking around sightseeing and also try get to my goal of surfing... that is always a good workout... yikes! I worry about food the most I think and all I can do is flex my will power muscle... i can do it!! speaking will power my fella (Brad) and I made it to the 11 month mark as non-smokers... whoo hoo... if i can do that i can do anything...??



Going to start a new part to my blog on my fav running songs... what a differnce music makes!

Update #2.... 4 days down...

Well I'm 4 days in and I'm just loving it!!! I just hope this motivation lasts... I am loving the food and I feel great.
I'm all over the good old gastro I had last week which is brill. No more gagging lol.
Exercise is going well, I am angry at my running as I cannot run up hills??? Any hills... Ie even the slightest slant.. Really gets me down so best I get to trying to fix that or poor emsie will be getting lonely running ahead of me all the time.. She's so speedy these days!
Ok that's about it, wish my hands were scales... That's it! Ciao ciao x

2012 - The Start



Hello!

I am new to blogging and new to the 12WBT! But im excited about both!

After seeing my stunning Friend Emma D (Durbs) drop 12kg and seriously transform the way she looks I am keen to get the same.
Nicolle her house mate and my friend is also looking fabulous and im pumped we can all do round 2 together along with our other besite Sarah.

I am a pretty active person who runs at 100 mile an hour ( wouldnt have it any other way) and have always enjoyed exercise and a variety of it too. I still play basketball and I love it. I started my running career in January this year when i got a Call from Emma...

went something like

E: "hiiiiiiiii what are you doing on wednesday?"
S: " i dunno, what am i doing on wednesday?"
E: wanna do the super sunset series fun runs with me?"
S: "how long is it"
E: "4km"
S: " i dont think i can run 1km"
E: "neither can i"
S:  " then sure why not???!!"
E:  great ill send you the link and sign up"

So wednesday came and we ran, we remember the 1km mark ... "oh sh*t we did 1km" hahah
that was great, what a feeling it is running with a herd! i managed to get to the end of the 4km without stopping, great track around the Zoo, what a great idea! Esma came in not long after, we both looked pretty stuffed but shit were we motivated to become runners!

So we started running, about once a week, i tried a few more only managing 3,4,5km and make myself a life goal to run 10km! So about a week ago (May 15ish) i ran 10km! time for a new life goal!! that was a great feeling. I went on to do the other 2 super sunset series and bettered my time each time and made it up that awful anderson street hill.... ewww
We also did the mothers day classic 4km - we probably shoudl have done the 8km as 4km was very quick! but we all ran great times.... Ive gota get faster!!

Emma and Nicolle took me and sarah to the 12WBT finale at Catani Gardens on a pretty frightful saturday morning and i needed no more motivation to sign up for round 2!!
We also thought we better create a team name, so its Team "Team" with Me as TT#1, Nic as TT#2, Emma as TT#3 and Sar as TT#4 just for furture ref.

Being 6ft i am not a light person and i dont think i ever will be but i am struggling to loose any kg!!! i have been trying quite hard since mid-late last year after quitting smoking ( still a non smoker btw) i have always exercised my whole life but i am at the point where i need help! i need diet help and maybe some other exercises to do to get results, dont get me wrong, i feel great from running but its not showing on the scales. i am still working with my doc and my naturopath to see if there are any other reasons why my weight will not shift! i did find out one part of my thyroid function is slightly high which i have taken herbal medications for but nothing seems to be changing anymore,.,, stay tuned!

Ok so thats about where im up to, ready and raring to start this 12WBT and have a smoking hot bod by the time i go to the maldives in October!!!
